Teaching with Blackboard 9.1

Blackboard is the Course Management System used by Prince George's Community College for all online and on-campus courses. All credit courses should be using Blackboard. For training or information on Blackboard, please begin by viewing the tutorials below.  If you still have questions, contact eLearning Services.

Online Express is available for all PGCC full-time and adjunct faculty members who would like to teach online. You must complete Online Express before you can teach online at PGCC.

To login to Blackboard, you must have your Owl Link User Id and password. For more information, see How to Login to Bb?

Blackboard Course Shells Automatic for All Credit Courses

Before using Blackboard, faculty must have an Owl Link account and a PGCC email account. See your department chair to get these accounts created. Once you have your Owl Link and PGCC email accounts, your Blackboard course shells for all credit courses will be automatically created for you after you have been designated the instructor in Colleague.

All faculty teaching credit courses (face-to-face, online and hybrid online), please click here for information on Blackboard course setup procedures. See our Semester Preparation page for help to prepare for a new semester.
